Ten types of rubber fenders commonly used in docks (Part 1)

1. GD type rubber

1)  The bottom width is small, which is especially suitable for frame type docks;

2)  High energy absorption and large reaction force;

3) High installation strength and long service life.

 2. Super Cell type SC

1) Increased energy absorption/reaction force,Compared with ordinary cell rubber fenders, SC super cell rubber fenders have an E/RH value increase of about 15%. The E/RH value of ordinary cell rubber fenders is generally 0.375~0.385, while SC super cell rubber fenders The E/RH value of the side is generally 0.43~0.44.

2) The structure is more reasonable

The SC super cell rubber fender has a more reasonable structure than ordinary rubber fenders. The connection between the fender cylinder and the flange is smooth and excessive, which reduces the stress concentration phenomenon at the root of the fender during compression and deformation. The force on the fender is more reasonable, and the compression of the fender is increased, from 47.5% of the ordinary type to 52.5%.

3) The SC super cell rubber fender has the same installation bolt hole distance and bolt hole as the ordinary rubber fender.

4) It has the characteristics of little impact of tilting berthing.

3. Cone gangway ZC

Tapered rubber fender is the third-generation product of cell-shaped rubber fender. It adopts a new structural design of tapered rubber body and front steel frame, so that the fender can be designed from compression deformation without increasing the reaction force. The increase from 52.5% to 70% has become one of the best rubber fenders today. Its appearance can make the design of the wharf structure lighter and reduce the construction cost of the wharf. It is an ideal substitute for the super cell rubber fender.Cone-shaped rubber fender has a history of ten years since its inception. The design of cone-shaped rubber fender has become a new trend in today's terminal design and represents the new standard of terminal fender design.

1) Compared with the super rubber fender of the same specification, the energy absorption is nearly doubled.

2) When the product reaction force and energy absorption are similar, the small size cone rubber fender can be used instead of the larger size TD-A super cone rubber fender, and the 800H cone fender can be used. Replace TD-A1000H fender, reduce the cost of terminal engineering.

4.D-type rubber fender

1) The reaction force and energy absorption are suitable

2) The width of the bottom is moderate, the special envoy is suitable for the frame type wharf

3)  Light weight, convenient installation and maintenance.

5. Cylindrical (Y) fender

1) Low reaction force, small surface pressure, reasonable energy absorption

2) Strong adaptability to the roll and pitch of the ship when berthing

3) It has a wide range of applications and can also be used as a ship's anti-collision device
